Tough Thoughts

• Toughness is I’m not going to lose sight of what I want to do by what you do or by outside influences.

• Most coaches will take true toughness over talent any day. Toughness wins. 

• A players who bends without breaking and bounces back up will prevail over the player who is resistant to bending under pressure but will break with enough force.

• Toughness has no relationship to how nice a person is.

• There is no reason you can’t be nice and incredibly tough at the same time.

• When you combine talent and toughness you have an unbeatable combination.

• There are a lot of fake people--those who talk about buying in but never really do.

• Toughness is speaking up with things are not right.

• Toughness isn’t about trying to talk & intimidate. It’s about meeting challenges head-on and not shrinking from them.
